Romeo is a short film written and directed by Malerie Marder. It stars Carson Meyer and Christian Camargo. Shot on 35 mm Academy 1:66 in Los Angeles. Romeo debuted at the 5 Firenze FilmCorti Festival in Florence, Italy in June 2018 at the Museum Le Murate Pac.

The film oscillates between the contrasting states of heartbreak - the grandiose illusions, the humor of humiliation and the genuine loss. The phone acts in opposition to its intended function, instead of being a connective tool it exacerbates the main character’s feeling of remoteness.
